How it works
Four connections, then you're live
Each step is a few minutes in a screen you already know. LatchPay never asks for a Shopify or Whop password.
Join LatchPay on Whop
Pick Starter or Scale and pay for the month on Whop. The card you use there is the one the usage fee is billed to later.
Connect your Whop business
Sign in with Whop, pick the business that should receive store payouts, and install the LatchPay app on it.
Connect your Shopify store
Create a custom app in your Shopify admin and paste its client id and secret. LatchPay checks the scopes and a live quote.
Paste one line in your theme
Add one script tag above </body> in theme.liquid. From then on, Checkout and Buy now open the LatchPay checkout.
Nothing changes for buyers until the last step. Settings has a switch that sends them back to Shopify's own checkout on the next page load, without removing the line from your theme.

What it does
Built for the hand-off
Everything LatchPay does sits between the cart and the paid order. Here is what that includes, and what it does not.
Opens the instant they click
LatchPay prepares the checkout while the buyer is still on the cart, so Checkout is a plain page change.
Shopify's own prices, live
Line items, shipping, tax, one discount code and the Markets currency are quoted from Shopify at checkout time.
Orders land back in Shopify as paid
On a verified Whop payment, LatchPay creates the Shopify order with a paid transaction. Inventory and emails follow as usual.
Switch back any time
One switch in Settings. Shopify's checkout returns on the next page load and the theme line can stay where it is.
Money arrives through Whop
Buyers are charged on your own Whop business. Payouts, refunds and disputes stay there, on Whop’s schedule.
Honest limits
Shop Pay and the express buttons are hidden while LatchPay is on. Checkout apps that inject into Shopify's checkout won't run. Shopify may add third-party transaction fees.
